In October 2022, a 54m*3.375m ultra-large screen built by INFiLED for Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport was successfully delivered. Installed in the domestic arrivals area of Terminal 3, the screen is used to show passengers the estimated arrival times and real-time status of flights.

Before that, Bao'an International Airport have been equipped with two INFiLED QM series screens, including the terminal-wide monitoring screen installed in the airport operation control center and the integrated information guidance screen erected near the flight arrival exit. Satisfied with the superior quality and stable performance of this series of screens, the airport decisively chose to partner again with INFiLED when investing in a great LED display project this time.

The new screen installed in the T3 terminal still adopts the QM series favored by the airport. With a pixel pitch of merely 1.2mm and a resolution of 43200*2700, it presents a sharp and vivid picture, providing passengers with a good viewing experience; besides, the screen also features a high refresh rate of 3840Hz and a wide viewing angle of 160°, with smooth content switching and easy access to updated flight-related information for all passengers.

Due to the tremendous size of the screen in this project, in addition to the excellent visual effects mentioned above, many other aspects need to be considered.

For one, since the screen is composed of thousands of LED cabinets, it is conceivable that the weight of the cabinet has a great impact on the convenience and efficiency of the screen assembly, while the applied QM series cabinets each weigh only 5.24kg, which solves this matter to a certain extent.

And, second, in order to maintain the optimum running status of the large screen, heat dissipation is another key proposition. While the QM series has an excellent cooling system, which can effectively reduce the operating temperature of the LED display, avoid the LED lamp bead fading caused by high temperature, maintain the stable and efficient working of the driver IC, and prolong the service life of the screen.
